I have been reading online about panic attacks. They say that panic attacks aren’t good for us, at more risk for this or that. They teach people with panic attacks that it will not harm them. But excercise is good for us. What? Panic is like running. Fight or Flight responds.

Sometimes I’ll recieve a box of chocolates or even get a bar from the store that has a white-ish film on it, and it’s kinda more crumbly than usual. Is this because it’s gone bad?

treatment being the focal point of the community? If a given amount of people with OCD in a given area donates money over an extended period of time to build this community and hospital (who’s main purpose is routine brain scanning to determine if certain medications are doing the job or not without waiting 3 weeks to find out. A school for sufferers and people determined to find a cure alike can attend to develop new ways of thinking about the disorder. Who else but a sufferer would want to find a cure more? I feel fed up with therapy and pills that make me sick. I want to actually look in my brain and see whats going wrong, but I can’t afford it. All of us with OCD should try to take matters in our own hands a little and build a place where we definately won’t feel alone. The continual money we put into it would definately keep it running and I’m sure help a ton of people. I’m going to start putting money away for it. What do you guys think?
I’ve suffered from panic attacks since I was very little, and my first major panic attack was when I was in the middle of a very busy restaurant. Another one was on a crowded train on my way to work and my heart-rate jumped like crazy.
If anyone out there experience those similar reactions.. What are the best treatments for ending these panic attacks? THANKS!
I have a worring promblem and I would like to no why I worry so much. I worry to the point of crying. I think I might have Generalized Anxiety Disorder. How do i ask my parents to get me checked for it?
I suffer from social phobia/ anxiety. I dread leaving my house and even ordanrily mixing with people is stressful
I was formerly on zoloft and lagactl but I feel very insecure after taking lagactl so I’m off it.
I still feel I need extra to the zoloft( actually sertraline which is the generic name)
If you know of any superb treatments, pls let me have them , whether medication or therapy. I prefer medication though!
www.justbewell.com Hi Yes it is possible to stop panic attacks and get effective and lasting treatment for panic and anxiety attacks, I and my colleagues worldwide have been helping people overcome these issues for many years. The most effective treatment for anxiety attacks is, in my opinion and experience, a combination of approaches from the fields of NLP and hypnotherapy, or hypnosis. Panic attacks are a self fulfilling prophesy, as are many issues, and it really does not matter, even slightly, how they begun. Sometimes someone has a virus which causes shortness of breath and other symptoms of a panic attack (that can sometimes seem like a heart attack to the victim), sometimes someone has a horrible experience which causes them to panic, and often people have no idea where the panic came from in the first place. Like I say, though, it really does not matter how they started. What everyone who has learned to do panic attacks has in common is this. They worry about panic attacks, they are anxious about panicking, and it is this fear of the fear that sustains the problem in someone neurology. Its a loop, a vicious circle in the mind, a bit like watching a horrible TV program in your mind that you hate, but you cant seem to watch over and over again. What we do fundamentally train the person to stop being anxious about having a panic attack, and with NLP and hypnosis, train and educate the mind so that you become calm and centred once more. And because we are not dealing …
I get frequent panic attacks after my "run in" with a heart problem I had a year ago. Panic attacks for me comes in waves and does not leave me for 3 – 4 days. It makes me feel very scared and depressed and I am edgy all the time. I keep feeling pain sensations in my chest, back and arm and can’t get over the feeling – that I am going to die or get a heart attack.
I did go to the doctor and my heart specialist. They can’t find anything unusual in my heart …they have given me some medications for this panic disorder – xanax – but that freaks me out and the withdrawal symptoms are awful. Thanks
